Chat Widget team to implement sound notifications for chat messages. Chat Widget team to consider adding a toggle to disable community chat when adding a chat widget to communities. Summary Ad Manager Updates and Future Features Manas discussed several updates to the ad manager, including the addition of purchase value and currency values for lead events, dynamic smart lists, and new Google assets such as business logos, call extensions, and site links. He also mentioned the launch of Meta multiple assets, allowing up to 10 ad sets with 10 ads each, and the ability to apply headlines and descriptions to multiple images or videos. Looking ahead to Q3, Manas highlighted upcoming features like LinkedIn lead generation ads, YouTube demand ads, Google audiences, campaign budget optimizer, and AI-powered ad campaigns. Meta Campaign Zip Code Exclusions Manas demonstrated to Keith how to exclude specific zip codes from custom audiences in the Meta campaign settings, showing that it is indeed possible to implement category exclusions. Chat Widget and AI Integration The team discussed upcoming features for chat widgets and AI integration. Manas shared that a new voice AI widget is in private beta and will soon move to labs, with plans to enable conversation AI and chat widget integration in Q3. They addressed issues with offline chat behavior, message retrieval, and contact merging, promising fixes for these problems. The team also discussed plans for multi-channel support, including Facebook and Instagram, and considered implementing sound notifications for live chat, though they noted some concerns about user annoyance with constant sounds. Enhancing Web Notification Systems Charles discussed the challenges with web browser notifications and suggested implementing service workers to ensure notifications and audible alerts work even on inactive tabs. He emphasized the importance of checking notification permissions in the browser and proposed a visible notification window to redirect users back to inactive tabs. Charles also highlighted the need for a toggle feature in the chat widget setup to disable community chat notifications, as they can be unreliable. Business Information Update Challenges Pooja and Charles discussed the challenges with updating business and contact information in the system, particularly for Michael who deals with local businesses. Pooja explained that custom fields and workflows would be needed to dynamically update business information, but they are working on improving this functionality with 16 standard fields planned for future updates. Charles suggested using the existing business name field at the contact level as an interim solution for B2B purposes. The team agreed to follow up with Michael to gather more information on specific fields needed and conduct another proof of concept before Q4. AI Integration Timeline and Updates The team discussed the timeline for implementing AI features, with Pooja confirming that the voice agent AI integration into the chat widget will be ready for beta testing by early October, coinciding with Level Up week. Ryan announced that town halls will pause between September 1 and Level Up, with a weekly update call potentially replacing them, and Jeff raised concerns about aligning conversational AI and voice AI agents, which Pooja agreed to address. The team also discussed the need for better integration between chat and call features, with Jeff mentioning current workarounds using custom values.
